The schisandra or the Magnolia vine is a native to Asia, particularly in China, where it's commonly grown as ornamentals. Their leaves tend to fall off during maturity and bears a grape-like fruit which can be used medicinally. These vines do require moderate levels of humidity as well as a wet and humus-rich soil to grow on.
