There are lots of varieties of Japanese maple and all of them are highly attractive, including the Chitose-Yama. It has a pinkish t0 red foliage which is best grown in containers and pots or in rock gardens. To ensure the foliage's best color, plant them under partial shade on a well-drained soil. Also look out for aphids as they can be the plant's avid pests, but never worry as Chitose-Yama is an easy-to-care plant.
