The African lily or agapanthus is a summer-blooming perennial that has linear leaves and blue funnel-shaped flowers. African Lilies grow best under full sun exposure on a rich and soil with good drainage. They also are great container plants and has high resistance to deer and rabbit. Two of its species are awardees of the Royal Horticultural Society's Garden Merit.
