While other call them corn lilies, ixia plants just another excellent choice for an ornamental display. They're characterized as cormous plants that has sword-like leaves and long stems, along with their star-shaped flowers that has a mild fragrance. Summer is the best time for the flowers to show off its blooms, which vary in a wide range of colors. They prefer a well-drained and moist soil and use of mulch is needed specially on cold weather conditions.
