The striking display of blooms courtesy of the Weigela Praecox shrubs

Weigela praecox (or simply weigela) is a deciduous shrub native to the Asian continent. It is named after the German scientist Christian Weigel. Weigela praecox has oblong and ovate leaves with white/pink flowers that bloom at best during springtime. They're full sun lovers as long as they're grown on a well-drained soil. These wonderful shrubs are hardy, but they're easy to grow & maintain and hummingbirds are avid visitors of this plant.
