Sweet Peas are annual climbing plants which has been cultivated as early as the 17th century and they're mostly grown for the color of their flowers (deep violet) and their unique scent. They are highly resistant to deer, but bees and butterflies are the ones attracted to its beauty. Propagation of sweet peas is by seed and deadheading is required to promote new blooms and maintain a nice appearance.
